Marina Lima Medeiros is a researcher in the Visual Analytics group at VRVis. She graduated as an Architect and Urbanist (2009) and holds a master in Urbanism (2014) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. She is interested in the cross-disciplinary research on 3d user interfaces, interaction techniques in VR and AR, spatial understanding and VR and AR for urban studies. Her publications include a book chapter and papers in conferences such as IEEE ISMAR (adjunct workshops), World Conference on VR Industry, SIGraDi and eCAADe.
To enable cultural institutions in Austria to effectively analyze and communicate their work in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals, VRVis is collaborating with several partners to link existing information with AI-based methods and make it accessible interactively.
VRVis and the Science Visualization Lab at the University of Applied Arts Vienna want to provide artists and cultural institutions with a new option to present digital creations in immersive settings. ARTverse aims to build an open platform for art production, teaching and dissemination in VR.
